Autumn in Virginia this year is truly turning out to be a vintage fiery show and this provided the perfect setting for a wine tasting with fellow members of the Concordia University Alumni Association - Washington DC chapter. Our small, but boisterous group included familiar friends Chapter President Therese Morin, Zoran Kahric, Dinesh Mehta and his wife Meera, my own beautiful bride Patricia and new Alumni friends including Rikka Batulan, Soufiane Mebtoul and Harry and Joy Reichel. I've never thought myself to be sentimental or nostalgic. But I've come to realize that you at times need to embrace your past to grow personally and professionally in the present. I guess this is the essence of proudly proclaiming yourself as an Alumnus of your alma mater.

The Concordia University Alumni Association officially launched a Washington DC chapter (CUAA DC) last night at the Canadian Embassy on Pennsylvania Avenue in DC. This event was the culmination of planning and hard work over two very fun dinners and countless e-mail exchanges by the Washington DC chapter executive including myself serving as Vice President of Communications. My fellow Alumni and now good friends serving on the Executive include: Thérèse Morin, MBA 86, Chapter President,James Byrnes, BA 97, Vice President of Programs, Lisa Morgan, BA 89, Vice President of Administration, Secretary and Treasurer, Zoran Kahric, BEng 97, Event Coordinator and Paul Tuscano, BEng 00, Event Coordinator.
