Any new technology must first have a clearly defined purpose and buy-in from key players such as senior staff and the board. Today, at 2pm in Room 145AB at the Washington Convention Center, Robert Murphy of the Optical Society of America, Bob Wolfe Jr., of the Solid Waste Association of North America and myself will provide some examples and strategies on how to build a case for successfully implementing a new technology in your organization.
I'll be focusing on how you can convey benefits to senior staff, in particular the CEO through interactive one on one any-question-is-a good-question format. How to convey the benefits to senior staff of establishing and expanding social media outposts on popular social media such as Facebook and Linkedin. And, strategies to champion technologies to your volunteer leadership.
Specifically, I'll provide detail on how SAF created the new SAF Wikinomics Task Force who will use as guiding principles, ideas found in the book Wikinomics by Anthony D. Williams and Don Tapscott. My blog about it can also be found here.
Despite the weather, I hope to see you there. If not, you can always ping me via this blog or email
